Our principle
Commercial support must never make Stay for Chinese Tea feel like a promotional site. Readers should always be able to tell the difference between independent editorial work, advertising and sponsored collaboration.
Advertising
If display advertising is introduced, it will be visually distinguishable from stories. We do not intend to place large ads in the homepage hero, cover reading with pop-ups, autoplay promotional video, or break an article into unnecessary pages to increase impressions.
Sponsored work
Paid collaborations will be labelled clearly as “Sponsored” or “In partnership with” near the title or beginning of the work. Payment, travel, gifts, access or another material benefit will be disclosed when it could affect how readers understand the piece.
Editorial control
We retain control over wording, context, factual standards and publication. Sponsors may check factual information about themselves, but they may not purchase an undisclosed opinion or prevent legitimate criticism.
What we will not accept
- Misleading, discriminatory or exploitative advertising.
- Gambling, unlicensed financial schemes or exaggerated health claims.
- Counterfeit, unsafe or culturally exploitative products.
- Paid links or endorsements that are hidden from readers.
- Partnerships unrelated to the publication’s cultural purpose.
Corrections
Sponsored work follows the same correction standards as other published work. A commercial relationship does not remove our responsibility to correct material errors.
Partnership enquiries
Relevant proposals can be sent to hello@stayforchinesetea.com. Sending a proposal does not guarantee coverage or endorsement.
